Eswatini

Eswatini, formerly known as Swaziland, is a small, landlocked country in Southern Africa bordered by South Africa and Mozambique. Known for its stunning landscapes, Eswatini features a variety of natural beauty, from mountains and savannas to lush valleys. The country is also celebrated for its vibrant culture and traditions, with festivals like Umhlanga (the Reed Dance) and Incwala bringing communities together in colorful celebrations. Despite its small size, Eswatini has several wildlife reserves, protecting animals such as rhinos, elephants, and lions. The kingdom is one of the last absolute monarchies in Africa, ruled by King Mswati III.

  • Eswatini is one of the few remaining absolute monarchies in the world, where the king holds significant power alongside the traditional council.

  • The Umhlanga Reed Dance, an annual cultural event, gathers thousands of young women from across the country to celebrate and honor the Queen Mother and traditional customs.

  • Hlane Royal National Park in Eswatini is the largest game reserve in the country and is home to a variety of wildlife, including white rhinos and lions.
